Media and fans ready to get a jump on the 2012 high school football season can do so at the annual DeKalb County Football Media Day set for 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18 at James Hallford Stadium in nearby Clarkston.

Preseason practice begins a week earlier this year as teams can hit the field on July 25.

DeKalb County is coming off a successful 2011 campaign which included a record 140 seniors signing scholarships from prep schools to Football Bowl
Championship levels and a Class AAAA state championship won by the Tucker
Tigers.

New head coaches will be making their appearance at Media Day as Chamblee
(Allen Johnson), Columbia (David Edwards), Lakeside (Mike Rozier), Redan (Terrance Amos) and Tucker (Bryan Lamar) will introduce their new top men along with Decatur (Brad Waggoner).

Media Day as usual will feature all 19 DeKalb County School
