The Robert W. Woodruff Foundation has given Agnes Scott College $6 million to renovate Campbell Hall, which has been vacant since 2003, and turn it into classrooms and student residences.

The college said,

The planned renovation will create state-of-the-art academic and instructional facilities on the ground and first floors and suite-style rooms for up to 96 students on the second and third floors.

Built in 1951, Campbell Hall served as the college’s science building until the opening of the Mary Brown Bullock Science Center in 2003. Campbell Hall’s renovation is a part of Agnes Scott’s new residential sector plan to renovate key facilities in preparation for the college’s planned enrollment growth over the next few years.

The Saporta Report said,

The Campbell Hall renovation will cost $12 million, and the college already has raised $8.9 million, including the Woodruff grant. [College President Elizabeth]
